The Celestial Church of Christ, Oko-Oba parish has urged parents to allow their children to be available to follow in the footsteps of the elderly as that is the way to grow and develop the country.
Oluwatosin Arebegesola from the Celestial Church of Christ, Oko-Oba Parish 3, Seed of Most High parish, stated this during the Juvenile harvest of the church held in alignment with the global body.
He said the significance of the Juvenile harvest, similar to the Children’s day celebration is to see the children given the opportunity to do things they see their parents do – leading service, sermon, being choristers –all to mold them into becoming responsible and godly adults.
He said, ‘’My advice to the parents is that anytime they have such an opportunity, they should always make the children available. Everything that will tend towards loving Christ, loving the word of God, they should always give the opportunity to them and in everything, they should support them.
‘’Most importantly, pointing them towards the direction of loving God and serving him with their heart and doing what is right at every moment. Once they are useful then the covenant of God concerning their life will always be established because when a man pleases God, he even makes his enemy be at peace with them’’.
Aregbesola advised parents to teach their children how to please God, how to worship God, and how to do things according to the words of God as stated in Joshua 1 vs 8.
Appraising how the children managed to organize the service during the harvest, he said they showcased their many gifts, as they were wonderful.
‘’From the service conductor to the choristers, to those that read the scriptures, the side men, they all did wonderfully well, they even surpassed the thoughts and expectations of parents. They actually did it just as the adults would do the service and it was so wonderful’’, he added.
