Three people went into trance for three days recently at the Celestial Church of Christ. Oko-Oba Parish 3 in Lagos with Trust Africa New Report ‘their journey’ and his experience with the personalities in this interview. Excerpts
Can you tell us about today’s programme?
Yes, we give glory to God today for the coming down of those who went into trance. Actually, the message I was given three weeks ago was that three people would go into trance and I have been praying to God that He should use them mightily as His vessels.
Last Friday during the prophets and prophetess service, two people went into trance and we were advised not to allow them go home that day.
Miraculously on Saturday, they were brought from home, (apparently because they didn’t heed the initial instruction). These two individuals lost total control of themselves. They were speaking in different tongues like the apostles of old. Besides, they could not eat. So, we decided to let them give message to people to see if the messages were true or not because before you can lay a bed for those who go into trance, you have to make sure what is coming from them is from God.
Going into trance is not an easy thing. If you want to go into trance, you will be hearing some kind of voices from angels, the doors will open, you will be seeing them , they would be following you and singing into your ears. For those who that are patient and committed to listen to the voice, they are the people that would go into trance. And as they fall into trance,, the messages they give thereafter will be sharp, true and accurate. People will bear testimony to the veracity of such messages, to the credit of the messenger and to the glory of God. This is exactly what is going on in my life because the angels will open their eyes to see what is hidden, the challenges or problems in the lives of the inquirers so that they may know the step to solution such as the type of prayer to offer .
As for me, my name is Prophet Adeshina Abraham. I am the head of prophets and prophetesses in this church, Celestial Church of Christ Oko-oba Parish 3. I joined the church three years ago and since then God has been perfecting His work in miracles and wonders. People have been coming to give testimonies with all happiness and joy. Besides, we are all full of joy because things have been going the way we want, all to the glory of God. People have been coming and they have been testifying about what is going on here.
Can you mention some of them?
Yes, the first person was Kenny, she went into trance on Saturday and the second person, Maria. She was brought here also on Sunday morning, she didn’t understand what was going on around her again and the third person was Timilehin who went into trance during Sunday service. To the glory of God, they are all among us now. They were in trance for three days singing with angels.
I observe you are conducting this service to show appreciation?
We are observing the thanksgiving to appreciate the wonders of God in our church and the lives of those that went into trance.

Mother Celestial Church Oko-Oba 3 . Sharon Shodipo, I am like a mother to them, I mean the prophets and prophetess. And we thank God for the trance.They came back in peace, we give glory, honour and adoration to God for being alive to witness this.
They went on Friday. Initially, they didn’t want them to go, I mean the family. Yesterday, they brought them back, they brought Kenny back on Saturday, kept her and started praying, on Sunday morning they brought Maria, the patron’s daughter. It was during the service, on that Sunday. We thank God because everything went well and today(Sunday) being the final day, they are all here hale and hearty.
What manner of message did they give when they went into trance and what did they receive from the angels?
I don’t know what they received. they can’t tell me what they received but I know everybody received good things.

Well the people came back from trance, they went for three days, they went in spirit from Friday and now they brought blessings for people. You can see fruits of different types and different types of perfume, it symbolises the blessings.
Can you describe the act of falling into trance?
Before one can go into trance, that person may have been a prophet or prophetess or a first time prophet, a new convert . When God wants to send them on errands,He makes them fall into trance because they may not be able to perform that assignment in the flesh.
God wants them to be in just a place where he would commune with them in spirit and show them how their problems could be solved. That was what happened for three days.
They were three in number but they went for different purposes but the fact remains that they went for the propagation of the gospel, to win souls for Christ, that is the major purpose of their going into trance.
Sir, are their messages the same?
No, different messages, there is no need for repetition because God does not make mistake, so they went for different purposes and they gave different messages and their messages are for different people. So they went for different messages, one went purposely because of the church member and another for new converts, how their problems will be solved and to win soul for Christ.
The third person, that one is a general thing.
Can you tell me more about this church?
Celestial Church of Christ, Oko-Oba Parish 3 is a church where God is really manifesting Himself.You can see the altar, you can see everybody, how programmes are going on, it is a church that was built on a rock, which is Christ himself . Anything we do here, we do it according to and by the laid down tenets of Celestial Church. Celestial church is a church that goes away from abominations in the sight of God. We follow the rules and regulations of the Celestial church which is the rules and regulations of Almighty God himself.
Senior Evangelist Alani John Bamidele. I am the shepherd of CCC Oko-Oba 3 So concerning the people who went into trance God really worked very hard and showed his mercy on his people, in this parish.
What I want to say is that if anybody comes to this mountain, this parish, he or she will receive the mercy of God and the power of God in this parish will make him or her testify of his mightiness.
