The Governor-General, Chief Engineer Senior Apostle Ambassador Fredrick Faramola Egbaiyelo, aka ‘Jaburata’ and the Iyalaje, Queen Sayidatu Olubunmi Ajibade Hassan (Nee Aboderin) aka ‘Mama Miliki’, of High Society Club of Nigeria on behalf of all members of the club has facilitated with the entire sons and daughters of Ile-Ife, Osun State on the occasion of Aje Festival 2024.
The Club also commended Ooni Ogunwusi, the Grand Patron of the club for his giant strides in Ile-Ife, Yoruba land, and the country at large.
This is as the ancient town of Ile-Ife is set to witness a huge crowd from all over the world, to celebrate this year’s edition of the Aje Festival with the Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR Ojaja II and Iyalaje Oodua, Princess Amb. (Dr.) Toyin Kolade.
Aje Festival is an ancient annual rite that connotes economic growth, prosperity, and productivity.
The Festival has received blessings from Ooni, having satisfied with the Aje Festival Planning Committee led by The Iyalale Oodua, Princess Dr. Toyin Kolade who doubles as The Global Coordinator for Aje Festival International.
According to the palace, briefly indicated that the “Peak of the festival is the royal procession during which the Ooni will lead the entire Ife Traditional Council, special guests, natives and residents of the ancient city of to major historical and spiritual sites including the Aje Temple to offer supplications for the country’s economic prosperity.”
“There will be side attractions like traditional performances by cultural troupes from across the country, stage plays, and other activities to entertain guests and everyone present at the Palace,” the statement added.
According to history, Aje, a diety which is the goddess of wealth and trade profitability, is one of the 401 superhuman inhabitants of the first world at Ootu Ife, the source of mankind.
