Kelechi Iheanacho broke down and cried “so hard” when he was dropped from the final squad to the 2019 AFCON, according to Super Eagles ace John Ogu.
Ogu revealed: “One person I’m most proud of is Kelechi Iheanacho.
“I remember the last AFCON he was dropped. He was crying so hard and didn’t want to talk to anyone. I’m so happy for him today.”
Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and William Ekong are the spine of the Super Eagles at the on-going AFCON in Cameroon.
The Leicester City striker has thus far scored a goal and provided an assist at this AFCON.
