As Nigeria and the world face complex challenges requiring fresh perspectives, Daystar Christian Centre is set to host this year’s edition of Excellence in Leadership Conference (ELC) with “The Innovative Leader” as theme.
The forum, according to its Head of Communication at Daystar Christian Centre, Ayo Makinde, is to empower leaders to adopt innovative mindsets essential for societal transformation across sectors.
Conference host and speaker, Sam Adeyemi, underscored the urgency and importance of cultivating forward-thinking leaders for nation building.
“Innovation is key to solving today’s challenges, and this year’s conference aims to inspire participants to embrace creative leadership that transforms societies in fields such as art, technology, governance, and beyond,” he said.
ELC 2024 will take place between November 7th and 8th, starting at 9 a.m. daily at Daystar’s main auditorium, Plot A3C, Ikosi Road, Oregun, Lagos, with live streaming available across Daystar’s official social media channels.
Co-convener and speaker, Nike Adeyemi, said the conference has been transformative to leadership.
“Over the years, this conference has transformed lives and inspired leaders to challenge norms, innovate, and shape the future,” she said, adding that ELC is open to all, without registration fees, reinforcing a commitment to accessible and impactful leadership training.
Also expected to share perspectives at the conference is an inspiring line up of specialists who will share diverse insights. They include Leke Alder, renowned strategy and brand consultant;, CEO of Hazon Holdings, Victor ‘Gbenga Afolabi; brand storyteller and CEO of Lumination, Adaora Mbelu; and multi-award-winning music producer and CEO of Codedtunes Entertainment Africa, ID Cabasa. These speakers will bring their expertise from entertainment, social impact, and leadership while each session promises to proffer practical solutions for creative growth.
One testament to ELC’s impact comes from a former Commissioner in Lagos State, Mr Olutoyin Ayinde, who noted that past sessions at the conference clarified his path to public service and ultimately to his government appointment.
