Isolake Foundation, a service oriented non-governmental organization (NGO) with the mission to reduce blindness among Nigerians has donated glasses to hundreds of people who participated at its maiden 2022 outreach programme.
The people were given eyeglasses after they had eye screening exercise, and the second phase will come up on April 16 at the Little Saints’ Orphanage, Abule-Egba, Lagos.
Abiodun Akinsola, the convener of Isolakin foundation said the foundation is all about giving back to humanity, as they noticed that some persons could not afford the cost of obtaining eye glasses because of their financial constraint, despite having eye defects.
This was why, he stated, they took it upon themself as a foundation, to do a free eye screening for the people and also give them free eye glasses through the support of individuals and corporate bodies.
He said they organize free eyes clinic for churches, for communities and the less privileged through the help of donators, sponsors and those that it may concern.
Akinsola said ‘’it is our great joy and desire to impact our ward and impact people around us and put smile on people’s faces, this is our joy. We thank God for Little Saints’ Orphanage for hosting us, and though beneficiaries of past outreaches, their support was immense to us having a successful event.
