Parents, guardians and sports enthusiasts were treated to great displays of football skills and ballet dance by kids under the watchful eyes of their trainers and coaches at the Paddysco Sports Academy 2021 Sports Fiesta and Awards over the weekend.
The event held at the Doseng International College Sports Arena, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos saw youngsters from the academy exhibited soccer skills and breathtaking runs to the applause of the audience during the football exhibitions.
The Chief Executive Officer of Paddysco Sports Academy, Mr. Peter Azunnaya Okereke, said the kiddies Sports Academy which started in March 2017 has been able to discover great talents who have shown promise to excel.
He also disclosed that some of their wards are doing well in Europe.
“These kids have exhibiting great talents. They have shown that with full support and continuity they would go places’,” Okereke said.
He added: “Over the years, we have been able to identify several of them who have shown promise to do well. We believe that with the parents bringing them out, allowing them to keep on with what they are doing, I’m very sure the sky will be their limit.
“We have players who are already playing in Europe. We have players in Sweden, Finland and Malta. We are getting there gradually.”
The CEO, who admitted that the economy situation in the country affected the academy, said the passion and the fact that they know where they are heading to is what is keeping the academy going.
At the end of the event, kids were honoured and awarded in different categories.
