Kogites Call Governor Yahaya Bello ‘The Political Messiah’ and Nigerians call him ‘Most Desirous Next Leader’

Coming to occupy any position of authority without a self-conceptualised strategy and deep vision for sustainable progress is akin to a disastrous occupation no matter how many years one may spend in such a position. And it takes time for a good leader to formulate and design sustainable programmes and policies which can engender comprehensive and overall development and socio-economic advancement of his people. This takes time.

Even though a cornerstone of all developmental efforts and the sine qua non of sustainability, governance is often nebulous, people who have witnessed tragic administrations and large scale maladministration are often quick to demand change from the new government to erase the memories of poor governance and bad leadership that bedevilled them in the past.

You don’t need to tell anyone when the government is implementing good governance, the people see for themselves and they say it as it is. This is the case of Kogi today under the leadership of His Excellency, Yahaya Bello.

You can apply all kinds of hate and biased analysis on Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration but all efforts will surely and squarely lead to our pure dazzlement by the wit with which the governor is writing the wrongs in the state today. There is no community you wouldn’t find Bello’s project in Kogi state aside from the ongoing urban renewals in Lokoja, Kabba, Okene, Idah and other towns in the state.

Bello did not only conceptualise good governance but ensured it was well integrated organically and lucidly operationalized in Kogi state. It is heartwarming to see even opposition party members, apolitical, clergy, CSO making posts about Bello’s legacy projects on social media today.

Governor Yahaya Bello has strategically combined Effectiveness, competence, sound policymaking, collaboration, Accountability, integrity, transparency and

Inclusiveness in birthing the Kogi State of our collective dreams where no one is left behind, projects and appointments are evenly and equitably distributed.

Haven been able to weave us together irrespective of our religions and ethnic divides, in coherent and cohesive ways Bello has demonstrated that Nigeria’s tapestry of governance can be made more visible and legible for everyone irrespective of ethnic and religious diversity when a leader is determined for effective and progressive changes.
