Mfon Ekpo is the CEO of The Discovery Centre, a training and development organization, and a founding partner and Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team. As a certified human behavior consultant, Ekpo has served on the President’s Advisory Council and is a two-time recipient of the ‘Golden Quill’ award by the National Academy of Bestselling Authors in Hollywood. She co-authored bestselling books with leading experts such as Brian Tracy and Robert Allen.
Ekpo’s professional credentials are impressive, with multiple degrees in maritime law, business law, journalism, neuro-linguistic programming, project management, and negotiation. She is an international speaker and a coach to top business CEOs, industry leaders, and thought leaders.
A Mandela Washington Fellow of the inaugural class of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative, Ekpo has also served as the Chairperson of the Advocacy Committee on the Regional Advisory Board for West Africa. In 2014, she was named an Honorary Citizen and Goodwill Ambassador for the State of Arkansas, USA. Leading Ladies Africa recognized her as one of Nigeria’s most influential women in 2017. The British Council Awards for Social Impact shortlisted her for her impactful training and coaching programs and the globally acclaimed seminar “The Blueprint of How,” which helps people across Africa, Europe, and the USA turn ideas into viable, sustainable initiatives and businesses.
In 2014, Ekpo was appointed Executive Director of The Future Awards Africa, the continent’s premier youth awards program. She also serves on the board of WENTORS, an organization dedicated to bridging the gender gap in the tech ecosystem through mentorship. As an advisor to global leaders and a mentor for the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP), Ekpo continues to influence and inspire through her dedication to leadership and development.
