Pastor Enoch Adeboye Warns Against Sexual Immorality Despite Anointing

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has cautioned that even with his years of ministry and anointing, he remains vigilant against sexual immorality. Speaking at the recently concluded Ministers & Workers Conference of RCCG America 1, Adeboye emphasized that no amount of anointing can protect against such temptations.

In his sermon, shared on his YouTube page on Friday, Adeboye highlighted the biblical example of Samson, who despite his divine anointing, fell into sexual immorality. He stressed that ministers of the gospel must remain cautious and not assume their anointing will safeguard them from temptation.

“Somebody says, at your age, why are you still running? I run faster than before because the closer you get to the finishing point, the more careful you must be,” Adeboye said. He added that his increased vigilance is essential to avoid jeopardizing the great works God has done through him.

He warned both ministers and youths to flee from anything that resembles sin. “You see that woman smiling at you everywhere you go, she is there smiling, and she is not your wife, run,” Adeboye advised. He also cautioned young men and women to be wary of those who flatter them with insincere compliments.

Adeboye underscored that sexual immorality can destroy a person’s ministry and that hidden sins can come to light when least expected. “The Bible says, flee youthful lust. It did not ask you to say grace would be sufficient. There is no grace for what God says you should run from,” he concluded.

His message serves as a reminder to all believers to remain vigilant and proactive in avoiding situations that could lead to moral failure.
