Danish club Randers want to buy Stephen Odey on a permanent basis and hopefully sell him to a bigger club thereafter, a top club official said.
Odey has revived his career on loan at Randers after it had stalled with Belgian club Genk.
The 23-year-old striker has netted 11 goals in 13 appearances for the Danish club thus far.
Randers sports director Soren Pedersen said it will be great to sign Odey permanently.
“If we succeed in signing a permanent contract with Stephen, then I definitely think we can sell him to a great address and make some money in some time,” Pedersen told Tipsbladet.
Odey has said he is happy at the club and Pedersen said he plans to meet with the striker’s agent soon.
“I have a meeting with the agent in the near future, where we will see if we can make the ends stick together,” he said.
“We have a really good ongoing dialogue. Stephen is happy to be here and we are happy to have him.”
