Lagos, Nigeria – Skit makers Chukwuemeka Emmanuel, popularly known as Sabinus, and BrodaShaggi topped the latest report on the activities of Nigerian skit makers on Instagram for the last quarter.
The quarterly insights, published by data intelligence and digital ecosystem firm Dataleum on Tuesday, revealed that Sabinus and BrodaShaggi dominated the platform.
Sabinus emerged as the top Male Instagram Skit Maker in the third quarter, with Maryam Apaokagi, known as Taooma, securing the top spot in the female category.
During the reviewed quarter, Sabinus amassed 47 million views, up from 44 million in the second quarter. He was closely followed by BrodaShaggi with 46.4 million views. Brainjotter, Cute Abiola, and Lasisi Elenu rounded out the top five with 20.8 million, 18.9 million, and 17.2 million views, respectively.
In the female category, Taooma received 16.9 million views, a decrease from her 24.2 million views in the second quarter. Other notable female skit makers included Kie Kie with 9.2 million views, Realsophy with 8.1 million, Ashmusy with 4.3 million, and Kemz Mama with 3.1 million views.
