Former Women Leader Adoodo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State, Chief Afusat Adekanbi has disclosed that with the way Nigeria is being governed under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigerians have no choice but to vote in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections if they want to enjoy good governance.
She said poverty and bad governance, that have become the identity of the ruling APC will be a thing of the past if Nigerians voted for the tested and trusted party.
Adekanbi stated this at the IWD event held by PDP leader in Lagos state, Hon. Fatimo Mohammed, where more than 600 women were empowered with food stuffs and provisions to take care of their families.
She said, ‘’In fact, mere looking at what is on the ground now, we can see that this coming 2023 election is for PDP because things are very scarce and things are very tough. Go everywhere, people are talking about the increase of everything, go to the market, when you hear from the market women, when you hear from anybody, you want to talk of petrol, you want to talk of food, anything you want to talk of, it’s not adding up.
‘’With this 2023 election that is coming up, PDP is coming on board, we know how to do the governance, we have been there before and we are coming there, that’s our area, we are coming and we know how to do it’’.
She urged the electorates in Lagos to support Mohammed as it is obvious, she has the heart to help the people if and when she decides to contest the coming election.
‘’When we have somebody like her come 2023, women will be dancing and rejoicing. Somebody that is not yet there and has been taking care of people for a long time, it’s not just today, she has been taking care of the women for a very long time. Don’t you know that when she gets there, we will be very happy. So, we want her to go there and by the grace of God she will surely get there’’, she added.
She enjoined the women to go and get their voters card as that is the only way their voices can be heard. She said the women are ready to work for the realization of Mohammed’s ambition come 2023.
